Manchester United legend wins UEFA President’s Award
Former Manchester United forward Eric Cantona will be awarded the prestigious award for his commitment to “improving the lives of others”.
UEFA president Aleksander Ceferin has said “This award not only recognizes his career as a player of the highest caliber, but also honors him for the person he is”.
“He is a man who refuses compromise, who stands up for his values, who speaks his mind and in particular, puts his heart and soul into supporting the causes he believes in”
Cantona retired in 1997 at the age of 30 after winning old First Division title with Leeds United. And won four premier league titles, two FA Cups, scored 64 goal in 143 appearances for Manchester United
